The Legal Affairs Commission advises the OSF on juridical issues, with both a consultative and operational role.

Mr. Adam Bartosiewicz 

The responsibilities of the Legal Affairs Commission are to:

  • Provide legal opinions to the OSF President, the OSF Executive Board and the OSF Central Board  upon their request, on issues relating to the exercise of their respective competences;
  • Provide opinions concerning draft amendments to the OSF statutes and bylaws;
  • Consider actions or defences concerning the OSF;
  • Carry out studies of a legal nature on issues which may affect the interests of the OSF; 
  • Perform any other tasks of a legal nature entrusted to it by the OSF President, the OSF Executive Board or the OSF Central Board; and
  • Discuss current legal issues generally affecting the various organisations which make up and affiliate with the OSF, including the OSF, the National Federations and, where appropriate, liaise with GAISF, the IOC, National Olympic Committees and National Sporting Associations.

Chairman

Mr. Corsin Derungs

Corsin Derungs is a team head in the legal department of Bank Julius Baer. He holds a Master degree in law from the university in Freiburg i.Ue., Switzerland, and passed the bar exam in the Canton of Zurich. Before joining Bank Julius Baer, Corsin worked for Deloitte in the Regulatory, Compliance and Legal department focusing on regulatory developments, primarily related to asset management topics. He also worked for Credit Suisse in the legal department, supporting particularly the trading floor and the custody network management. Furthermore, Corsin worked on the trading floor at the structured products desk. As preparation for the bar exam, Corsin worked in a law firm in Zurich.
